At-Home Neurofeedback & QEEG Brain Mapping

In Partnership with Peak Brain Institute

Epic Journey Recovery partners with Peak Brain Institute, a leader in neuroscience-based brain mapping and neurofeedback, to offer clients advanced QEEG brain mapping and at-home neurofeedback training from anywhere in the world.
This service can be accessed as a standalone (à la carte) option or added to a 6-month Epic Journey Recovery program for clients who want deeper, data-driven support for mental health, addiction recovery, focus, sleep, and nervous system regulation.
What Is QEEG Brain Mapping?

A QEEG (Quantitative EEG) is a non-invasive assessment that measures brainwave activity. It helps us understand how your brain is functioning, not to diagnose or label, but to identify patterns that may be influencing:
-
Stress and nervous system regulation
-
Sleep quality and fatigue
-
Focus, attention, and impulsivity
-
Anxiety, mood, and emotional regulation
-
Brain fog, processing speed, and mental clarity
Your brain activity is compared to age-matched norms to highlight strengths and areas that may benefit from training. Most patterns are stable over time, which makes QEEG a powerful tool for tracking progress.

What Is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a form of brain training that helps your brain learn healthier patterns using real-time feedback.
During sessions:
-
Sensors read your brain activity (no electricity is sent into the brain)
-
Visual or auditory feedback responds to your brain’s activity
-
When your brain moves in a healthier direction, it receives a “reward.”
-
Over time, the brain learns to regulate itself more efficiently
Neurofeedback supports the brain’s natural ability to change, known as neuroplasticity.

How the At-Home Program Works
You can complete the entire process from home, with full professional support.

Step 1: Equipment Shipped to You
After enrolling, Peak Brain Institute ships a complete kit to your door, including:
-
Neurofeedback device and software
-
QEEG EEG cap and sensors
-
All equipment needed for home use
-

Step 2: Guided Brain Mapping
With live video support, you’ll complete:
-
A full QEEG brain map (eyes open and eyes closed)
-
A computerized attention and executive function test
Coaches guide you step-by-step to ensure data quality equals in-office assessments.

Step 3: Data Review with Experts
Your data is analyzed by Peak Brain’s neuroscience team. You’ll meet virtually with senior neuroscientists, including Dr. Andrew Hill, to:
-
Review your brain map and attention data
-
Learn how to understand your brain patterns
-
Identify goals that matter most to you
This process is exploratory and educational, not diagnostic.

Step 4: Personalized Neurofeedback Training
Based on your data and goals, a custom neurofeedback plan is created. Training typically involves:
-
30-minute sessions
-
2–4 sessions per week
-
Adjustments over time based on progress and feedback
Clients often notice early changes in sleep, focus, or calmness within the first few sessions, with more stable changes building over time.
Ongoing Coaching & Support

What makes Peak Brain different is the level of support:

-
Live video guidance during early sessions
-
Private chat access to Coaches 7 days a week
-
Regular check-ins and progress tracking
-
Ongoing plan adjustments as your brain adapts

Think of this as personal training for your brain, not therapy.

How This Integrates with Epic Journey Recovery
Clients working with Epic Journey Recovery can use neurofeedback and QEEG in two ways:

Option 1: À La Carte Service
Ideal for individuals who want:
-
Brain mapping and neurofeedback only
-
Performance, focus, or sleep optimization
-
A neuroscience-based approach outside of therapy
-

Option 2: Add-On to a 6-Month Program

Neurofeedback can be layered into a longer Epic Journey Recovery plan, alongside:
-
Therapy and clinical care
-
Recovery mentorship
-
Lifestyle and nervous system regulation
-
Holistic and functional health strategies
This creates a whole-person, data-informed recovery approach.
Common Questions

Is neurofeedback safe?
Yes. Neurofeedback is non-invasive and passive. No electricity is sent into the brain.

Can I really do this from home?
Yes. With guided setup and live support, at-home data quality matches in-office sessions.

How many sessions do I need?
Many goals require 30–50 sessions over a few months, depending on what you’re working on.

Is this therapy?
No. Neurofeedback is brain training, not psychotherapy. It can complement therapy but is not a replacement.

Will this diagnose me?
No. QEEG is used to understand brain patterns and guide training, not to diagnose conditions.

Can this help with addiction and mental health?
Neurofeedback supports brain regulation related to stress, cravings, sleep, focus, and emotional balance, which can be valuable in recovery and mental health support.
